My last blog ended with the trip to the Lake District, in March. So I will start from there.
March was not too interesting after that, I must admit, because of the essay deadlines that I had.
Now at the end of the month, however, the fun started again.
It started with a trip to Dublin! I have been to Dublin before, a few times, but this time was just as pretty and fun. We had booked into a hostel called Paddy’s palace. The hostel was great! We got a free day trip to Glendalough (pronounced: glendalog) and Kilkenny. We saw some of the locations where ‘Ps. I Love You’ and ‘Reign of Fire’ were filmed!
The weather was amazing, albeit a bit cold, until it was time to leave, because that’s when the hailing started!
The photo’s of the trip are posted here:

After this trip I went on a day trip to Birmingham to visit Marijn and Didi. I went with Shiri and we had a lot of fun! It was a great city to see. We were led around and saw a lot. We also did a boat trip across the many canals in and around the city.
Here is the link for the photo’s of that day:

Then it was time to pack and go home for an 8 day holiday! I tried to bring as many winter clothing and books home already. I enjoyed my busy week thoroughly. Gijs and I went to The Efteling, which is, like, my favourite place in the whole world :D!
I met up with my friend in Arnhem and chatted to catch up on lost months, and my cousin came and stayed for a few days to catch up :D. I had a great time being home!
The day I returned to Aigburth was nice as well. I did not really want to go back, but as soon as I got back I felt good. I had missed Aigburth Park. Not surprising as it has been my home for the past few months. I started talking to my flatmates and we decided to go to the beach, which is referred to as ‘The other Place’. There are a lot of weird looking, iron-made, naked statues of men on that beach. From a distance it does look amazing. We went there at sunset. Again I posted the photos online and here is the link:

The next day started very early, Shiri and I went on a day trip to York! It was incredible to walk along the city walls and see all the history in the city. I had a wonderful time, the weather was so nice! The downside of this day was that my camera died near the end so I had to use my mobile phone.. The quality is not as good but they are still nice!
Here is another link, for the photos of this day:

The day after this day trip the weather in Liverpool became even better! Naomi, Shiri and I went to Sefton Park to enjoy the sun. Afterwards we went to the city do some shopping and have fun. We discovered a great (and cheap) Mexican food restaurant!
We agreed that if the weather would still be good the day after that, that we would go to the beach.
We awoke on Good Friday and it was an excellent Friday for the beach! The railway station offered discounted train tickets because of it being Easter, and we walked in shorts and t-shirts all day to enjoy the sun!
Again here are the photos:

After all the nice days, it was time to start writing essays again! They should be finished within a few days I hope!

With all that travelling going on I need to do a lot of planning because I do have essays that need to be finished. I like to have my essays done before the deadline so I can check them without being stressed out about it. I found out that I can write an essay within two days, so that is why I foresee no problems with the travelling and deadlines! Organisatorisch competent? CHECK!
Essay deadline schedule:

Calling your placement abroad a Liverpool trip would be completely beside the point I think: let's call it: Nadia's tour of Europe! -:) According to your travelling schedule you should be in Barcelona now.
